As the economy continues to deal with a large amount of financial tumult it would seem that publicly funded art in this country might take a nose dive. Oddly enough, a wide array of grants for the arts are still readily available. Decisions about monetary allotments are made well in advance of the time periods in which people in charge decide how to use them, so many of these grants are already prepared to be given to young artists with interesting, impactful and well-organized ideas for how to utilize these resources.
