The Schubert Impromptus Opus (Op) 142 D935

One of the most popular Romantic composers, especially for the piano, is Frederic Chopin. Chopin's compositions for the piano are somewhat patriotic and contain beautiful melodies throughout. Furthermore, many of Chopin's piano pieces are of a high technical standard which often requires the performer to be of a certain proficient standard.

Save Yourself an Adequate Amount of Money by Purchasing Cheap Musical Instruments

The guitar has been around for many ages. Although distinctively used today, there has only ever been "acoustic guitars." It was not until the electrical guitar was birthed that a distinction became necessary. The acoustic guitar comes in various shapes and sizes, looks and feel. Let's explore some of its common features.

snookie-boyfriend-florence-arguement.jpg

He's been there a day! He spent more time flying to get to Florence! How could there already be drama?!?!

The photogs followed Snooki today as she and her boyfriend, Jionni, appeared to have a bit of an argument. Apparently, something went down with Snooks' man at the club the night before that upset our pint-sized guidette princess. She called him out on it (as the cameras were rolling, btw) and the two got into a fight.

But, by this afternoon, everything was squared away and the couple looked like they had gotten back together. They even kissed as they made up.

Alls well that ends well. At least, until the crew comes back tomorrow.

Check out more pics of Snooki and Jionii in the gallery (below)

The folk rock genre was built on the extraordinary songwriting of Bob Dylan and the ground breaking representations of the "The Byrds." In the years that followed, a legion of songwriters, bands, and artists, continued to grow this dynamic genre into the vibrant musical art form that it remains today.

Bodily Responses to Music: Jazz and Genres Alike

Wanda Jackson, known widely as the "Queen of Rockabilly" was just a kid when she first hit the music scene in the mid 1950s. Like so many rockabilly pioneers, she'd started her career as a country artist. When Elvis exploded upon the scene, he naturally influenced countless other musicians and Ms. Jackson was one of them.

Coffee Colored Guitars for Kids A Great Way to Start Learning

Music has come far in the past few millennia, starting as basic rhythms and melodies lonely hunters sung to themselves as they stalked the night's dinner. Over time, more elements merged and combined to create sounds to intrigue and impress listeners. Now, music is as cross-pollinated as the deepest daughter plants of a series of hybrids-and it is in this world that the contemporary classical composer finds himself.

The Historic Newberry Opera House

Not everybody can be musical, some people can dance or sing along with it, but comparatively just a few can play a musical instrument. It takes patience, practice and lots of precious time to create a piece of music and make it sound as it should. This is one of the hurdles that beginners have to face when first learning to play.

The Dragon Line Review RUSH: Energy Taken to Innovative Echelons

The most important thing you can do to promote your music is to plan. Let me say that again, plan, plan, plan. It's so many avenues to take during the music process that it's easy to get sidetracked by something that sounds like a great deal. I don't fall for something in promotion if it's not in my plan.

Make Rap Beats No Production Skills Needed!

Your wedding is a once in a lifetime event and there are many things that you must do to make it memorable, one of which is choosing the right live wedding band. A live band has much more appeal than setting up the most high tech music equipment as the former has a personal touch to it. Choosing the songs and music to be played on your marriage day can be an enjoyable experience for you and your partner as you go down memory lane and select those which have been your favorites or hold special meaning in your lives.

Gordon Keith Channels Zach Galifianakis... While Interviewing Zach Galifianakis

Entertainment reporters interview celebrities — it's in the job description. Sometimes these interviews go incredibly well, and sometimes they go incredibly poorly. Sometimes, they fall into a no man's land of awkwardness that few people are likely to encounter in their lifetime.
Gordon Keith's interview with Zach Galifianakis falls into the latter category. But beyond being [...]

Finally, finally, we're in the home stretch until the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1." The penultimate film in the "Harry Potter" series will hit theaters one month from today, and to psyche us up Warner Bros. has gifted us with yet another "Potter" TV spot.

There's nothing in this minute-long teaser that we haven't seen before, but it's still enough to get us excited. After all, it contains the majority of the elements of the film we're most looking forward to. Bill Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour? Check. Voldemort/Harry dichotomy? Check. Locket Horcrux being destroyed? Check.

Despite how much Warner Bros. has been showing in the trailers, we still can't wait to see the film as a whole. What the trailers and spots have been missing are actual interactions between the characters. Yes, we've seen plenty of action, drama and special effects, but the core of "Harry Potter" is the relationships between the characters we've come to know and love. Other than that awesome showdown between Ron and Harry and a couple George and Fred moments in the teasers, we haven't had a chance to see the way Voldemort's reign has personally affected the magical world, and that's why we're still counting down the days until "Part 1"'s release.

Are you excited for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" to hit theaters?

white-house-rejects-new-york-senator-chuck-schumers-reccomendation-that-openly-gay-daniel-alter-serve-on-the-us-district-court

We're starting to feel like a broken record here with our consistent disappointment!

Despite being recommended for the position by New York Senator Chuck Schumer, openly gay Daniel Alter's nomination for federal bench in the US District Court has been rejected by the White House!

According to the Washington Blade:

“But informed sources told the Washington Blade that the White House rejected Alter’s nomination because of remarks he reportedly made regarding a case challenging inclusion of the phrase ‘under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance. In addition, the White House reportedly objected to remarks that Alter made suggesting that merchants not wish shoppers ‘Merry Christmas’ during the holidays.”

So they threw Schumer's recommendation, which is standard procedure and tradition, out just because Alter supports a separation of Church and State?!

Unbelievable.

This nonsense needs to STOP! And soon!

Thoughts??

Watch: ‘Little Project Runway’

Sean Penn was spotted yesterday on the NYC set of his new film This Must Be the Place lookin’ like the saddest drag queen you ever did see:

Unfortch for Sean, he’s not playing a drag queen in this film. In Place, he will portray a retired and bored ex-rock star who finds out the ex-Nazi who executed his father in WWII is a refugee in the US. HMM … no wonder he looks so sad. This film sounds like some heady stuff … but I can’t get past the wig and make-up. I’m certain this film will appeal to some but, yeah, it ain’t grabbin’ me just yet.

Teach Yourself How To Play Guitar With Jamorama

BurstBucker pickups from Gibson Original Equipment now give guitarists a choice of three replica sounds from Gibson's original "Patent Applied For" pickups - the pickups that give the '59 Les Paul Standard its legendary sound. The three BurstBuckers - all with unpolished magnets and non-potted coils, like the originals - represent the variations found among vintage Gibson humbuckers.
